Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Kamathi

The Kamthi Agricultural Produce Market Committee was established through the bifurcation of the Nagpur Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Nagpur, in accordance with Government Notification No. Jiuni/Regulation/Division/4400/06 dated May 9, 2006; actual operations commenced on July 25, 2006. The Committee owns a plot of land measuring 1.60 acres located in Kamthi. With the objective of enhancing the Committee's revenue, a vegetable market was launched within the market yard on March 1, 2013. Consequently, the decision to start the vegetable market proved to be a sound one, as it received an enthusiastic response from farmers, traders, and citizens alike.

To date, the Committee has provided various basic amenities within the market premises for the convenience of farmers. These include an auction shed, open platforms, internal roads, electricity supply, drinking water facilities, restrooms, an administrative office and farmers' rest house, temporary stalls, CCTV cameras, water coolers, and other essential infrastructure.
